Board Officers Elected for Lane Metro Partnership

January 5^th, 2009

The Lane Metro Partnership has announced the 2009 officers for the operating board. John Brown, a real estate broker with Evans, Elder and Brown, Inc., will serve as board president replacing outgoing president Art Clark, a partner with Hershner Hunter.  Gordon Brown, Director of Operations for Life Technologies formerly Invitrogen will serve as vice-president.  Stephanie Matthews, human resources manager for Three Rivers Casino, will serve as secretary/treasurer.  Shaun Hyland vice-president of John Hyland Construction was elected as a new member of the board of directors.

The Lane Metro Partnership is a non-profit organization that fosters economic development to help create a more diverse and stable economy.  The Operating Board includes representatives from the cities of Eugene and Springfield, Lane County Board of Commissioners, University of Oregon, Lane Community College, Lane Workforce Network and numerous private businesses.
